Ugh! Swimsuit shopping

Summer is upon us that means swimsuit shopping. Swimsuit shopping is stressful for everyone. I have put together a list of my top tricks to make swimsuit shopping less stressful and more enjoyable.

Tan– Putting on some self – tanner will help you know what you will actually look like in the swimsuit you choose. It can also help you boost your confidence

Do your hair and make-up- Look good feel good. Trying on swimsuit can feel like a chore, having your hair and make-up done will help you feel bomb.

Workout- As the great Elle Woods once said “Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people don’t shoot their husbands.” If working out can stop you from committing murder, it can surely help you find a swimsuit.

Shop where you can drink- There are stores that allow you to drink while you shop. I am not saying get trashed but having a splash or glass of wine will help you take the edge off. I found this trick out while a friend or mine had to go undergarment shopping for her wedding dress. Trust me it helped.

Know what you want you swimsuit for- If you want a suit to tan in, you don’t want something that will give you weird tan lines. Even a suit to wear to your friend’s kegger at the lake will probably be different, than what you wear to your five-year- old cousins pool party.

Find out what you are comfortable in– take your time when shopping. Try on different style, shapes, and sizes.

Ask about a return policy- if you can return than get a few and try them on at home. This is a more calming environment, and you don’t have to worry about “store tricks.”

Ask or take a friend- if a friend can go with great. If not send them some snaps. I would stay away from asking too many people. You will end up with conflicting opinions, making the whole situation more stressful.

Cheers and happy shopping!
